A look back at a special offsite experience by oraya GmbH
What happens when you trade your desk for nature, barbecues, and deep conversations for a few days?
You create space — for real encounters, fresh perspectives, and a stronger sense of togetherness.
That’s exactly what we experienced at oraya during our three-day offsite event in Bingen.
Why we do this
As a growing team in a fast-moving environment, we know that productivity matters — but it doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s built on trust, collaboration, and open communication. While these values can be lived in everyday work, they flourish even more in a setting that’s outside the usual context.
That’s why we intentionally stepped away from our routines — into nature and into a space designed for reflection, exchange, and shared experiences.
What we experienced
Our destination was Bingen — a beautiful region that won us over with both its scenic location and its relaxed atmosphere.
For three days, we:
→ Worked: In small focus sessions, we fine-tuned projects, brainstormed ideas, and discussed strategy — clear-minded and inspired by the view.
→ Grilled: In the evenings, we gathered around the barbecue and the fire pit — talking, laughing, playing games, and most importantly: not working.
→ Connected: New team members quickly became part of the group, and existing relationships grew even stronger.
Some of the best conversations happened over breakfast or watching the sunset.
What we take away
We came back not just with lots of pictures (📸 — scroll down for a few snapshots), but more importantly, with renewed energy. And with a strong reminder: these shared moments don’t just strengthen how we work together — they reinforce what oraya stands for. A culture where everyone is seen, heard, and invited to contribute to something meaningful.
We’re already looking forward to the next offsite — but even more so to bringing the spirit of Bingen back into our everyday work.
